Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor. Resuming regular scheduled services after a wonderful sesquicentennial celebration.Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class, morning worship at 10:45 a.m., preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.Tuesday: Ladies Bible study, 10 a.m.Wednesday: Prayer meeting, 7 p.m.Thursday: Men's Bible study, 5:15 a.m.Friday: True Women Bible Study and Play Group, 9 a.m.Looking ahead:• Bethany will have free ongoing activities in front of the church during the evenings of the sesquicentennial week.• Vacation Bible School- Ocean Commotion, where you'll dive into Noah's Flood. 6-8:30 p.m. July 18-22. Third St., at 5 p.m. The church is air-conditioned. Sunday worship with Holy Communion is at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free communion wafers are available for those with allergies. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides, Vicar Lauren Heywood assists. Coffeehouse fellowship is at 10:30 a.m.First Tuesday quiet communion is 10 a.m. July 5.Trinity's Community Vacation Bible School "Cave Quest" is 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 11-15, for children age 3 through grade six. The sessions are aimed to assist children to follow their faith by exploring who Jesus is - the light of the world. The free registration information is available in the narthex. Volunteer opportunities are also available.For those interested in church membership, baptism, or wedding, appointments with the pastor are available by contacting the church office with your request. She is currently seeking input from students and parents to redevelop a youth group for the upcoming school year.
