The monthly meeting of the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club will be held at 7

p.m.June 9.Jerusalem UCCJerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville), will hold a summer evening in the groveJune 10 from 4-8 p.m. The entertainment will feature God's House Band (playing rock, country and gospel). Hot dogs, barbecue, ice cream and drinks will be available for purchase. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy an evening with friends and family.Worship service will begin the summer schedule with a 9 a.m. blended (contemporary/traditional) worship service this Sunday. Nursery and Children's Church will be offered.Knitting ClubThe Knitting Club will meet from 6-8 p.m. Mondayat the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave. This club is free and open to anyone interested in knitting and crocheting regardless of skill level.First UCCSunday'sworship service at First United Church of Christ, 457 Delaware Ave., Palmerton will be at 9 a.m. Sunday school will follow at 10 a.m. A free coffee hour will be held after the worship service. Please join in fellowship.Park ConcertThe Palmerton Community Band will kick off the Sunday evening Concerts in the Palmerton Borough Parkat 7 p.m. Sunday. People should bring lawn chairs. There is no smoking in the park.The sponsor of this week's concert is the Bandstand Committee. In the case of inclement weather the Bandstand Committee reserves the right to cancel the concert. There are no rain dates.On June 12 the band will be Who Knows.Family reunionThe 90th Annual George Family Reunion & Pig Roast will be held Sundayat the Palmerton Rod & Gun Club. Registration will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Lunch is from noon to 1 p.m. The business meeting will be at 1 p.m. Come and enjoy a day of family fun. Events include bingo, adult and kiddie cake walks, and Chinese auction. You are invited to bring a covered dish or dessert and items for the cake walks and auction.Parryville breakfastThe Parryville Volunteer Fire Company No. 2 will hold a breakfast Sundayfrom 8 a.m. to noon. Takeout orders are available by calling 610-852-2350.Holy Trinity newsWorship services with Holy Communion will be held at 8 and 10:45 a.m. Sundayat Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. This will also be the last day of Sunday school for the summer. This will be a fun time with ice cream sundaes and a game of kickball in the park.A festival meeting will be held at noon in the fellowship hall.
