Dozens of firefighters from throughout the area attended funeral services Monday for Paul S. Yuricheck of Summit Hill, the financial secretary of the Diligence Fire Co. No. 1 for the past 43 years until his death on May 11. Yuricheck also was named Firefighter of the Year in 1995 by the fire department. His body was transported for burial to St. Joseph's Cemetery in the White Bear section of Summit Hill from St. Joseph's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial was held, in the bed of the fire department's pumper.
