Friends of Beltzville hosting film screening Thursday

The Friends of Beltzville State Park are hosting a film screening Thursday night at the park’s enviornmental interpretive center.

“Straight Talk: The Ralph Abele Story,” covers the life of a man credited with changing Pennsylvania’s policies on fishing and boating, and leading efforts to restore the American shad population in the Susquehanna River.Members of the public are invited to attend.The screening will include discussion with special guests Tracy Carluccio, Deputy Director of the Delaware Riverkeeper Project and Tom Kerr, former CEO of the Wildlands Conservancy. Kerr is a winner of the Conservation Heritage award named for Abele.Light refreshments will be served.
