Businesses, organizations explore the power of partnerships

As a proud partner of The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber, CCEDC supports our local communities, various organizations and business professionals by fostering and supporting "The Power of Partnerships."

In Steven Covey's "7 Habits of Highly Effective People," Habit 6: is "synergize."The word synergy comes from the Greek synergos meaning working together. Stephen Covey says, "Synergy is everywhere in nature. If you plant two plants close together, the roots commingle and improve the quality of the soil so that both plants will grow better than if they were separated."If you put two pieces of wood together, they will hold much more than the total weight held by each separately."In Habit 6, Covey directs our attention to the power of effective relationships. We can achieve so much more when we engage in effective relationships with others than if we acted alone.Covey was truly on to something and I can't agree with him more - through the power of partnerships, as a chamber member, you will benefit from this partnership by utilizing your benefits thoroughly.I task you ... list "Chamber" on your calendar every Monday and do something with us! Attend a networking event, submit a blog or news release for us to share, participate in the trade radio giveaways ... just to name a few.If you are not sure what to do, give us a call or send us an email so that we can help. The Power of Partnerships also allows CCEDC to market Carbon County in a number of ways utilizing all marketing avenues and numerous partnerships. We continue to share the great things happening in our area to attract tourists and visitors so that all can "Find Your Fun in Carbon County."Leverage your partnerships, support others and build lasting relationships ... a nice recipe for success.Marlyn Kissner is executive director of the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corporation.
