A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Tuesday charged with raping a 13-year-old girl.

State police at Frackville said Michael S. Catherman, 56, of Frackville, was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault.He was arraigned before on-call District Judge James Reiley, of Pottsville, and committed to the county prison after failing to post $100,000 cash bail.Troopers did not release details of the investigation stating only that Catherman had "forced sexual contact" with the victim numerous times beginning in December 2015.
