Each year the Concourse Club of Palmerton honors five Guiding Stars from the Palmerton Area High School. The Guiding Stars are chosen by a committee of high school educators in the district.
A Guiding Star must be a female student in the top 25 percent of the senior class and be involved in both school and community activities. Each Guiding Star receives a certificate, an engraved Guiding Star charm and a $100 cash award.Brynn Danielle Boehler was recognized as the April 7 Concourse Club meeting at St. John's Lutheran Church. Brynn is the daughter of Jill and Michael Boehler. She has a younger brother, Brody.Brynn's guests at the meeting were her parents as well as her friend, Ryan. Brynn acknowledged her mother as her guiding star for her constant support and examples of selflessness.Brynn's hobbies include playing soccer, enjoying outdoor activities and listening to music. She is an accomplished piano player with many years of lessons and practice under her belt. Her interests include English, history and foreign languages.Brynn is involved in student council, Leo Club, varsity soccer, Future Business Leaders of America and the National Honor Society at school.Brynn has supported our community by volunteering through the National Honor Society. She has tutored, helped with PTO baby-sitting and helped at the Charlie Brown Nursery School egg hunt.Brynn will continue her education at Penn State University majoring in English or history.The Concourse Club extends best wishes to Brynn for continued success as she reaches for the stars and guides others.
