A Times News editor received a letter this week signed by "Concerned PVE staff."

The letter claims that on April 6 a camera was found to have been installed in the faculty dining room at the school.The letter goes on the say that investigation by the signed parties led them to believe that the building principals did not know about the device.The writer says a member of the district staff has admitted to some unnamed PVE staff that they were the party responsible for installing and using the camera to record during school hours. The camera has been removed.According to district Superintendent Carole Geary, it is well-known that surveillance equipment is used extensively throughout the district buildings for the safety of the staff and the students. Geary did not comment on this specific claim.
