Blue Mountain Health System and the Pennsylvania Department of Health will provide an Adult Pneumonia Immunization Clinic from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday at the Bowmanstown Medical Plaza, 512 Bank St., Bowmanstown.

You are eligible for the vaccine at low or no cost if you are underinsured or uninsured. The maximum cost is $5.Pneumonia is a complication of a respiratory infection. Older adults and people with chronic disease are at high risk for pneumonia.Symptoms can vary from mild to severe. Treatment depends on the cause of your pneumonia, how severe symptoms are, your age and overall health. Most healthy people recover from pneumonia in one to three weeks, but pneumonia can be life-threatening.
