Attorney Thomas W. Durnin of Lansford has been named a senior hearing inspector for the Bureau of Highway Safety of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, according to an announcement by Gerald A. Gleason, state secretary of revenue.

The young lawyer is a graduate of Mauch Chunk Catholic High School, Providence College and the Dickinson Law School. A veteran of World War II, he is a member of the Carbon County Bar Association. He has been active in Democratic Party circles for several years, currently serving as president of the Lansford Democratic Club.He is married to the former Marie Spillane of Lansford.
