Richard J. Maranki has been appointed postmaster of Parryville, it was announced by the Eastern Regional Headquarters of the U.S. Postal Service.

Maranki was one of 17 postmasters appointed simultaneously in the states of Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.Born in Drifton in 1943, Richard is the son of Josephine Maranki and the late John Maranki. A graduate of Hazle Township High School, he is an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.The husband of the former Mary Corrigan and father of four entered the Postal Service in 1973 as a clerk.
