Sister John Marie from DeSales University visited Our Lady of the Angels Academy for Vocation Day, part of the Catholic Schools Week celebration at the school.

She spoke to children in preschool through third grade about grace and forgiveness and treated them to the story "The Parable of the Lily."She also visited the students in grades four through eight to speak about her recent mission trip with DeSales University to Calcutta.David Donovan, a fifth-grade student, described her story as "heartwarming" and said that all of the students took away valuable lessons from her short visit to the school.Students in preschool through third grade were also treated to guest readers Kim Bell and Marie Johns from Blue Ridge Channel 13.The television personalities had the children hooting like owls and acting like snowmen as they listened to "Owl Moon" and "Snowmen at Night."
