Candidates interested in vying for a vacant seat on the Northern Lehigh Board of School Directors still have time to apply.

Those who wish to apply for the unoccupied seat have until 3 p.m. Mondayto submit their letter of application to the district.Letters should be sent to Gregory S. Williams, board secretary, Northern Lehigh School District, 1201 Shadow Oaks Lane, Slatington, PA 18080.No telephone applications will be accepted. Letters may be mailed or delivered in person.Personal data, or a resume which will assist the directors in the interviews, should be included in the application.Whoever is chosen to fill the vacancy will serve until December 2017.To serve beyond that point, it will be necessary to run in the municipal election.The seat became open after the board last week accepted the resignation of former Director Natalie Green, who wrote that she is leaving due to personal reasons.Green was originally appointed to the board in June 2010.
