A former pellet plant in Lower Towamensing Township has been sold.

According to Carbon County Court records, the property at 2115 Little Gap Road, sold for $900,000 to Ramsey Palmerton LLC, Flemington, New Jersey.The 43,750-square-foot industrial building is located on 8.59 acres.Previously, the building housed Great American Pellets, which manufactured premium hardwood pellets for use in pellet stoves to provide heat for residential properties.Great American Pellets held its groundbreaking ceremony in June 2010.Over the years, the business made waves as part of a long-standing noise dispute.In 2012, several residents expressed concern about the noise level generated by the business.
