Carbon County commissioners, during their reorganization meeting on Monday, approved a number of personnel moves within various departments.

They include:• Accept the resignation of William B. Maurer of Jim Thorpe, part-time maintenance, Buildings and Grounds, effective Dec. 29, 2015.• Hire Chris N. McLaughlin of Tamaqua as a county caseworker II, Children and Youth Services, effective Jan. 5.• Approve the prison board appointments of Christian J. Archer and Beau S. Wentz, both of Lehighton, and Christopher R. Uhlman of Lansford, as part-time corrections officers, effective Jan. 11.• Approve the changes of status for Wendy R. Smelsa of Jim Thorpe from district justice secretary I to district justices office supervisor trainee, and Donna L. Peck of Lansford, from district justice secretary I to district justices secretary II, District Justices, both retroactive to Jan. 1.• Approve the change of status for Tracy J. Nistico-Marasheski of Jim Thorpe from department clerk I to clerical specialist, Juvenile Court, retroactive to Jan. 1.• Approve the change of status for Crystel L. Stein of Lehighton from department clerk I to domestic relations specialist I, Domestic Relations, retroactive to Jan. 1.• Approve the change of status for Jeffrey P. Aster of Walnutport, from part-time county detective to full-time county detective, District Attorney, retroactive to Jan. 1.• Approve the change of status for Katheryn M.
