Diners looking for a quiet and romantic evening made reservations well in advance."It's one of the biggest nights at the restaurant for reservations. Our clientele makes reservations for the next year while finishing this year's meal," Moya co-owner Stephanie Verme said. "People come here for a nice quiet evening of good food."Restaurants in Times Square have reported to have set prix fixe meals, a menu for which a set price is charged for all courses, for the evening."We don't do a prix fixe. It's limiting," Verme said.Owner and head chef Hassan Chafiq of Trattoria 903 agrees with Verme, "We are doing our regular menu for the evening," he said. Trattoria has been booked for over a month, "People are still calling to get in."Folks looking for less romance and more party have a handful of options in Carbon County. The Broadway Inn will have both music and an $85 prix fixe that includes a glass of Champagne, entrée and dessert, before people start kicking up their heels with the Free Range Folk trio at 9:30 p.m.The Mansion House of Summit Hill will follow suit with a preset dinner then a "Party in the Pub" starting at 9 p.m., including a DJ and karaoke."We are hoping for a big year," server Mary Sabol said. "Our reservations are filling up and we have a full staff scheduled."The West Penn Rod and Gun Club in Tamaqua will also host a preset buffet dinner with live entertainment starting at 7 p.m. This event is open to the public and for an extra $10 a designated driver will be called for a safe passage home.
