Police announce charges in Summit Hill incidents

Summit Hill police charged a number of area residents for incidents that happened in the borough recently.

Jessica Mongi, 28, of 45 W. Vernon St., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police, who were assisting a county agency at her residence, found drug-related items that belonged to her during a visit on July 11.On July 23, at approximately 2:45 p.m., police received a call from a resident in the 200 block of East Ludlow Street that a 17-year-old Summit Hill male had hit her vehicle with his bike. As the youth was approached by the vehicle owner, he gave her a hard time and pulled his shorts down. He was charged with disorderly conduct.Kevin George, 33, of 137 Martindale Court, Saylorsburg, was charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to boat launch B at Mauch Chunk Lake Park at 11:15 p.m. on July 23. The callers, who were fishing in the area at the time, reported that George was causing a disturbance.Kristen Benek, 34, of 433 W. White St., was charged with harassment after police responded to her residence for a domestic dispute following a confrontation with a male who also resided there.Alex Lin, 24, of 211-12 35th Ave., Bayside, New York, was charged with possession of marijuana after police found him with drugs at Mauch Chunk Lake Park on Aug. 1.Ann Marie Derby, 51, of 9 W. Holland St., was charged with harassment on July 28. Police went to her residence at 11:32 a.m. after it was reported that there was a neighbor problem. An investigation revealed that Derby hit the neighbor with the handle of a pressure washer.Steven Montgomery, 51, of 59 W. Holland St., was charged with harassment and terroristic threats on July 27 after police were called to his residence for a domestic dispute.Gregorio Rojas Jr., 23, of 405 Lansford Court, was charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after he dragged a female out of the residence and smashed some personal items. Police responded to the incident, which happened just before 11 a.m. on Sept. 8.Czar Founds, 18, of 45 E. Ludlow St., was charged with prohibited offense of weapons, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct after he pulled a knife during a confrontation on Sept. 26. Police were called to the 100 block of East Hazard Street for a confrontation between Founds and another person who lived on Hazard Street. Threats were made and Founds pulled a knife on the resident.
