West Penn Township police are investigating a double shooting which involved a man and female.

Shortly after 10 p.m. police and emergency medical personnel raced to 687 Arrow Road where they found the pair.

The two were treated at the scene by members of the New Ringgold ambulance and two Lehighton paramedic units.

They were transported to a landing zone along Dairy Road just east of Route 309 established by the West Penn Fire Company #1.

PennStar 5 and MedEvac transported one of the victims to the Lehigh Valley Hospital Trauma Center with the other being transported to St. Luke's Hospital Trauma Center in Bethlehem.
