Police have arrested a Carbon County man who was wanted in connection with an incident Jan. 14 at the Walmart store in Mahoning Township.

Mahoning Township Police Department said Julian Andre, 20, whose last known address was in Albrightsville, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and retail theft for the incident.A warrant had been placed for his arrest and he was picked up by Freeland Police.During the investigation, police seized heroin, marijuana, suboxone, oxycodone, diazepam, carisoprodol and zolpidem tartrate.While attempting to arrest Andre, he resisted officers and had to be restrained with force.He was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
