Apple and Fall Fest

Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Trachsville will host its Apple and Fall Fest Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the church grove. There will be a Chinese auction and meat raffle with the drawing being at 3 p.m. There will be fall items for fall decorating.Firetruck rides will be offered in honor of Fire Prevention Week. From noon to 3 p.m. you can enjoy music by God's House Band Plus.Enjoy homemade apple foods such as apple fritters, apple cobbler (by the Boy Scouts), apple and regular sausage sandwiches, hot dogs, barbecue, pumpkin cider, shoofly-pie, soup, and mac and cheese.Bring your family, friends, and appetite for a fun and enjoyable time. In case of rain the event will be held in the Fellowship Hall.Bowmanstown Rod & Gun ClubThe Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club, 525 Club Road, Palmerton will hold its monthly meeting Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. Block shoots start in October and run through April. This club is free and open to anyone interested in knitting, crocheting or other fiber crafts, regardless of skill level. The club meets the first Monday of each month and new members are welcome.Annual Quilt ShowThe ninth Annual Quilt Show will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Palmerton Area Library.
