Carbon Democrats to hold meeting

The Carbon County Democrats for Change will hold their first meeting of the season at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Inn at Jim Thorpe.The speaker for the evening will be Bill Richards, Deputy Chief of Staff for Sen. John Yudichak. Richards will speak about the current budget standoff in Harrisburg and other statewide issues.Also speaking will be candidates for local office in the upcoming Nov. 3 municipal elections.Democrats for Change welcomes progressive Democrats from Carbon County to their meetings.The club supports progressive legislation and candidates.For more information, call club President Linda Christman at 610-377-0235.
