A Schuylkill County man entered guilty pleas in three pending cases in Carbon County court.
Michael James Keiffer Jr., 31, of Coaldale, pleaded to one count each of criminal conspiracy-burglary (felony one), and misdemeanor counts of receiving stolen property, retail theft and persistent disorderly conduct. Judge Steven R. Serfass accepted the pleas.Keiffer was charged for his part in a June 30, 2014, burglary at a residence along West Patterson Street in Lansford. Various tools and building materials valued at $23,410 were taken. He also admitted to a retail theft incident at the Family Dollar Store in Lansford on March 7 and for a disorderly incident on March 2 at Patterson and Center streets in Lansford.Serfass accepted the pleas but deferred sentencing ordering the adult probation office to prepare a presentence investigation report.Keiffer was scheduled to go on trial Monday on the charges.
