Patriots' Day service

The Carbon County Department of Veterans Affairs will conduct a Patriots' Day memorial service at 8:40 a.m. Friday in the Josiah White Park, located outside the Old Mauch Chunk Train Station in Jim Thorpe. The service remembers the tragic events of Sept. 11, starting at the time the first plane struck the World Trade Center.The public is invited to attend and is greatly appreciated.All emergency services and veterans organizations are also invited to participate.
