A Monroe County resident is facing drug charges following a traffic stop.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said a vehicle was stopped about 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 8 along Route 940 in Coolbaugh Township for traffic violations.At the stop officers made contact with the driver and passengers and also detected the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A consent search was made and several packages of suspected marijuana were recovered.As a result police charged Karon Delbrune, 21, of Tobyhanna, with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.Police did not indicate if Delbrune was the driver or a passenger.
