Monroe County will be participating in gypsy moth spraying for 2016. A public meeting is set for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Monroe County Safety Center to provide information for the 2016 DCNR Gypsy Moth Suppression Program.

DCNR representatives will provide information that includes gypsy moth biology, abundance in Pennsylvania, and information regarding property treatment for the 2016 season.The application deadline for Monroe County residents to sign up for the 2016 spray program is Aug. 31.The application is available at

www.monroecountypa.gov, and paper copies are available at all municipal offices.
