A New Ringgold man faces up to three years in state prison on a number of drug and related offenses.
Schuylkill County Judge Jacqueline L. Russell on July 22 sentenced Jason Hill, 25, as punishment for three cases after he pleaded guilty.He also was ordered to pay court costs and fees.In the first case, Hill was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, criminal conspiracy, and possession of a controlled substance after an incident on Oct. 10, 2013.The charges of criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance were dropped. Russell sentenced him to six to 12 months in prison and 20 hours of community service.In the second case, Hill was charged on Oct. 24, 2013, with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance.Charges of possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance were dropped.Russell sentenced Hill to the same punishment as in the first case, to be served consecutively.In the third case, Hill was charged by Tamaqua police with criminal conspiracy and criminal use of a communication facility as a result of an incident on Oct. 31, 2013.In that case, Russell sentenced him to the same sentence as the first two cases, again to be served consecutively.
