A young woman was injured Monday afternoon when she was involved in a vehicle crash along Route 248. The crash occurred

at 5 p.m. as she was traveling west just before the Bowmanstown exit. She lost control, striking the center Jersey barrier, then crossed back across the roadway, leaving the right berm and hitting the guardrail. The westbound lanes were reduced to one lane by fire police. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
