Kidder Township agreed Thursday to advertise for bids for stormwater management.

Manager Lisa Klem requested a motion to advertise for bids to replace drain pipes and pave North Old Stage Road and parts of Gower Lane. Klem said this work is part of the stormwater management plan.In addition the township is in the process of obtaining temporary construction leases and easements for similar work to be done on North Lake Drive. A motion was passed to permit Klem to obtain bids and proceed if the bids were under the $19,000 threshold before the August meeting. If Klem proceeds, her actions will be ratified at the next meeting.Klem also made a request of the board to extend the probationary period of the Kidder Volunteer Fire Company for an additional 30 days.
