Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company, 2440 Fairyland Road, Lehighton, will be hosting a blood drive on Saturday.

The blood drive is being sponsored in conjunction with Miller-Keystone Blood Center and will be held from 4-7 p.m.Donors can also designate their blood donation to their favorite hero, fire, police or EMS as part of this summer's second annual "Boots v. Badges v. Bandages" Heroes Blood Drive Competition.In order to donate blood, people must be 17 years of age or older, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be feeling healthy; they must not have donated in the past eight weeks.All donors must also provide valid identification; ID must have the donor's name printed on it, as well as a photo and/or signature.
