James J. Sverchek of Lehighton was notified that he has attained the dean's list for the spring semester at the University of Pittsburgh.

James is a student in the Swanson School of Engineering studying civil and environmental engineering. He has also been notified that he has attained the ranking of honor student in the engineering school because of his overall GPA.James is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Engineers Without Borders.James is currently working as an intern with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, assigned to the Jim Thorpe Bridge project.James is the son of Mark and Anne Sverchek of Lehighton and grandson of the late John and Veronica Sverchek of Lansford and William and Anna Corkill of Jim Thorpe.
