Suspect In Bear Creek Twp. Attempted Murder Captured In New York City

The final of three suspects allegedly involved in an October kidnapping and attempted homicide case was captured in New York City on Monday morning.

Nygee Taylor, 25, was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service and the New York Police Department fugitive task force.

State police previously captured Jerone Moore, 31, on June 2 in a Wilkes-Barre residence and Chloe Isaacs, 21, on June 5 in New York.

The three suspects are being charged in connection with the alleged kidnapping, assault and attempted murder of a female victim.

According to police, troopers discovered a "naked and bloody female" in Bear Creek Township on Oct. 5. The woman had suffered a 3-inch laceration from her trachea to her ear, police said.

Investigations revealed the female was picked up at an apartment in Pittston earlier in the day and transported to 58 N. Hancock St. in Wilkes-Barre, where she was stripped and beaten by several other females, police said.

According to police, after the victim was assaulted, she was placed in a barrel for about four hours before she was put in the trunk of a vehicle and transported to Aleeda Road in Bear Creek Township.

Police said the victim was taken to a wooded area where her throat was slit. She was left in the woods as her assailants fled the area, police said.

A resident heard the victim's cries for help and provided care until EMS crews arrived, police said.

Officials were able to determine that Isaacs and Moore picked up the victim in Pittston and transported her to the North Hancock Street residence, police said.

Police said at the apartment, Isaacs and other females reportedly assaulted the victim. Moore and Taylor allegedly removed her from the residence and transported her to Bear Creek where Moore cut her throat, according to police.

Moore was charged with attempted homicide, conspiring to commit homicide, aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, conspiring to commit aggravated assault, conspiring to commit aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment and simple assault. He remains jailed in lieu of $250,000 bail. Taylor faces these same charges, while Isaacs was charged with kidnapping, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. She is being held at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Taylor will be processed in Queens and held in New York City pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
