A female driver was injured Sunday afternoon when involved in a crash along Mahoning street in Lehighton. The crash occurred as she was driving west just past the entrance to the high school when she lost control while rounding a slight curve in the roadway. Her vehicle entered the right berm where it traveled over a lawn before impacting with a tree. The victim was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics and transported to an area hospital. Lehighton police are investigating the incident. Responding was the Lehighton fire department with their fire police maintaining traffic control at the scene.
