Earlier this month, St. John Neumann Regional School campuses in Palmerton and Slatington were visited by a team of three educational professionals from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools for the purpose of reaccreditation.
This process generally takes place every seven years and is a voluntary activity. It is designed to examine school performance to assure that it meets MSA standards under its "Excellence by Design" protocol. The Middle States Association system for periodic review assures that schools under its jurisdiction continuously plan for improvement in student education. The accreditation team met with community leaders, Advisory Board members, parents, teaching staff, student council, financial trustees, and area clergy all of whom are considered "stakeholders" of SJNRS.At the exit interview upon completion of the survey, the team complimented SJNRS on the quality of its presentation and was eloquent in praising the hospitality with which they were welcomed to the community.Although official notification of reaccreditation will not be received until October, SJNRS is confident it continues to meet and exceed today's demanding education standards.St. John Neumann Regional School provides education in kindergarten through grade eight and welcomes children of all denominations. For additional information on enrollment, contact Sister V.
