Five plead guilty to drunken driving

Five defendants charged with driving under the influence entered guilty pleas in Carbon County court on Thursday.

President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II accepted the pleas from the following:Garett Corie Anthony, 24, of Palmerton, was arrested on July 23, 2014, by state police along Forest Inn Road in Lower Towamensing Township after being involved in an accident. A test showed 0.19 BAC.Sentencing was deferred so Anthony could obtain a comprehensive drug and alcohol evaluation.Prudence Elaine Greenawalt, 57, of Palmerton, was arrested on Sept. 20, 2014, along Main Lane by Lehighton police. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.Sentencing was deferred so Greenawalt could get a comprehensive drug and alcohol report. Nanovic also ordered the adult probation department to prepare a presentence investigation report.John Kevin Boyd Jr., 22, of Kintnersville, Bucks County, was arrested on May 14, 2014, along Behrens Road in Penn Forest Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed 0.15 BAC.Sentencing was deferred so Boyd could obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Steven Todd Moyer, 41, of Bethlehem, was arrested on May 5, 2013, at Beltzville State Park in Towamensing Township by park rangers. A test showed 0.19 BAC.Sentencing was deferred so he could obtain a comprehensive drug and alcohol evaluation.Faith E. Spiker, 26, of Whitehall, was arrested on March 27, 2013, along Franklin Street in Palmerton by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presented of a controlled substance.Sentencing was deferred so Spike could obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.
