http://relayforlife.org/pawestend.Kid Safety FairGFWC Western Pocono Women's Club, a service organization in the West End for 40-plus years, is co-sponsoring its fourth annual free Child Safety Fair with the West End Park and Open Space Commission. This event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Chestnuthill Township Park on Route 715 in Brodheadsville.The Pennsylvania State Police will fingerprint children. The West End Ambulance and The West End Fire Company will be present for touring their respective vehicles and trucks. A Fire Safety House or simulated Smoke House from Tobyhanna Army Depot will be available to demonstrate safe ways to escape a house fire.Pocono Medical Center will check blood pressure and child car seats. General health information providers and a dietitian will be available. Representatives from the West End Health Care Center will be present as well. Fitness Instructor Leslie Glover will do exercise demonstrations with the children.Girl Scouts will be selling food items at this event.Free literature about car seats, school bus safety, etc. will be available inside the Chestnuthill Township Park Building during the Child Safety Fair.Anyone with questions, can email the Western Pocono Women's Club at

The winner will receive a $500 scholarship. Participants will be judged on a 300-word essay on What My Fair Means to My Community, a personal interview, and a speech pertaining to the essay.This program is open to all Monroe County females between the ages of 16 to 20.
