State prison in courthouse threat case

A man who admitted to a threat at the Schuylkill County courthouse in October will serve 30-60 months in state prison on a charge of criminal use of a communications facility.

Todd A. Dohner, 49, of Pine Grove, pleaded guilty on April 1 before Judge James Goodman to two felony counts each of criminal use of a communications facility, disorderly conduct and terroristic threats.Goodman on Tuesday sentenced Dohner, who is in the state prison at Rockview, Centre County, via video. The sentence is to be served on top of the 3- to 9-month state prison sentence he's currently serving.President Judge William Baldwin on Nov. 6 revoked Dohner's probation in two 2013 cases, one involving indecent exposure and the other harassment.Dohner was sentenced on Dec. 1, 2014, to the 3- to 9-month punishment.Dohner was charged by Pottsville police after he called and left messages on the courthouse voice mail system late Oct. 2 and in the early morning hours of Oct. 3.Claiming to be the leader of a terrorist group, Dohner threatened to have his group shoot students at an unnamed school from 100 yards away at 3 p.m. if the courthouse wasn't closed.Officials closed the courthouse at 11 a.m. Oct. 3, and schools were locked down.Police traced the calls to Dohner's cellphone.
