Relive the great music of the past at the Tamaqua Community Art Center as the Legends Oldies Band performs a concert of golden hits from the '50s to the '70s.

The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on May 9 at the art center, 125 Pine St., Tamaqua.Band members have performed with national acts such as the Drifters, the Platters, the Coasters and Danny and the Juniors. Their music ranges from the "doo wop" sound to American stalwarts such as Del Shannon and Chuck Berry, to the groups that came to America during the "British Invasion."Chris Rickerhauser is a New Jersey native who plays lead guitar and provides vocals; Tony Gromalski, known as Tony G, also provides vocals while playing bass and rhythm guitars; Jimmy Peca has played with several local oldies bands, providing vocals, bass guitar and keyboard; Joe Corradini is a multitalented drummer who also plays percussion and whose deep bass voice brings the "doo wop" to life; Jim Pino is a master of the tenor and baritone saxophones, who also plays flute, trumpet and harmonica.Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased in advance by calling 570-668-1192.
