The Animal Shelter of Carbon recently presented Brooke Gardner of Palmerton with a Junior Ambassador Award. For the past two years, Brooke has made homemade animal fans, bracelets and cat toys for the ASC; had a face-painting stand for Rockin Rescue to help ASC in its cause; and donated 100 percent of the funds to the organization. The presentation to Brooke, front, was made by Tom Zimmerman IV, ASC board member, and Donna Becker, ASC president.
