State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a robbery that happened at 2:52 p.m. Feb. 24 at Sunny's Express Mart, 458 Interchange Road, Kresgeville, where a man brandishing a knife made off with money from the cash register.

Police said the man, a white male described as being 25 to 35 years of age, entered the store and demanded the money from the cashier while displaying the knife.After receiving the money, he fled the store.Police said the man had no facial hair, was about six feet tall and weighed about 200 pounds. He was wearing a black knit hat, black sunglasses, a dark blue sweatshirt with a Nike symbol on it, a white undershirt, black gloves with a white triangular symbol on them (possibly Adidas) and dark pants.Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police at 610-681-1850.
