Emily Bevans, Slatington, has been named the March Girl of the Month for the Slatington Women's Club.

She is the daughter of Lori and Jonathan Bevans. She has three younger brothers: Conrad, Ashton and Everette.A senior at Northern Lehigh High School, Emily is president of the senior class, president of the Leo Lions Club and school boardrepresentative.She is involved in the National Honor Society, Northern Lehigh Little Theatre (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Get Smart, The Wedding Singer), and has participated in four years of varsity soccer, basketball, and track and fieldShe was an Honorable Mention All-League defender for soccer in her junior year, and was team MVP that year as well.Her other interests include reading, baking, hanging out with friends and playing with her dog, DaisyShe plans to attend Moravian College to study nursing, and is also hoping to play soccer there as well. Her goal is to become a nurse practitioner.
