More snow, sleet and freezing rain on the way

The National Weather Service anticipates four to six inches of snow, sleet and freezing rain, with about a quarter inch of ice, to hit Carbon and Monroe counties from Sunday evening through late Monday night.

The rain, freezing rain and sleet should transition to snow and sleet Sunday night into Monday morning. It appears that mostly snow will then fall Monday before tapering off Monday night.Hazardous conditions are possible due to snow and ice. This will have an impact on the Monday morning and evening commutes.Temperatures are expected to be in the lower 30s Sunday evening, then drop into the 20s Monday and Monday night. The precipitation may reduce visibility as low as one-half mile at times.
