St. John's Church

St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will hold a Mardi Gras celebration on Saturday at the church. The weekly worship service on Saturday, will begin at 5 p.m. and the celebration will begin at 6:15.The Women's Bible study group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Good Shepherd Room. The group, open to all women of the community, will be studying the book of Romans. Joan DeAcetis is the leader.Lioness ClubThe next meeting of the Jim Thorpe Lioness club will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at The Inn at Jim Thorpe Conference Room. New members are welcome.
