Tamaqua Borough work crews will begin removing the snow banks from the streets tonight. Operations will begin at 9 p.m.

The following streets are scheduled for removal on Wednesday: south side of Broad, from tracks near Turkey Hill to Odd Fellows Cemetery; Center, both sides from Broad to Route 309 bridge; Nescopec, both sides from Broad to Cottage Avenue; Swatara, both sides from Broad to iron steps.Several streets are scheduled for snow removal on Thursday, again starting at 9 p.m. Those streets are: north side of Broad, from railroad tracks near Turkey Hill to Odd Fellows Cemetery; Mauch Chunk, both sides from Broad to Pine; Pine, both sides from Broad to Mauch Chunk; Berwick, both sides from Broad to Hegarty Avenue; Nescopec, both sides from Broad to Hegarty Avenue; Swatara, both sides from Broad to Lafayette.Streets will be posted one day in advance. Any vehicle not moved before 9 p.m. will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.Schedules are subject to change depending on work schedules and weather conditions
