3-6 inches of snow tonight into Saturday

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a winter weather advisory for snow, which is in effect from 11 p.m. this evening to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches are expected.

Snow is expected to develop near midnight. There is a small chance the snow may briefly mix with sleet or freezing rain around daybreak Saturday.

Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 37. Southwest wind around 6 mph.

Tonight: Snow, mainly after midnight. Low around 26. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Saturday: A chance of snow, mainly before 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 37. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Saturday Night: A slight chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. West wind 9 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32. West wind 6 to 11 mph.

Sunday Night: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 22. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
