Lehighton could receive $4,000 for its 2002 Chevrolet Blazer.

Six individuals turned in bids to the borough on Friday to express their interest in the vehicle, which has about 57,100 miles on it, and is being sold as is, with all faults, and without any warranty whatsoever.Melanie Windhorn turned in the highest bid of $4,000, followed by Geraldine Steigerwalt, $2,552; Gabriel Szozda, $2,055; Richard Young, $2,040; Rick Kriner, $1,500; and Ryan Simmons, $801.The successful bidder is responsible for all transfer costs involved.Borough council is expected to make a bid award when it meets at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15.
