A recent Times News article about road department purchases in West Penn Township incorrectly stated the condition of existing equipment.

The New Holland backhoe is fine and parts are available. The township is unable to get parts for its aged front end loader, and is replacing that with a new backhoe which includes a front-end loader. The township will have two backhoes, both with front-end-loaders, giving the road crews more flexibility.
