No changes are in store for Palmerton Area School Board next year.

On a 6-0 vote, the board at its reorganizational meeting on Wednesday reappointed Tammy Recker as president. Later, on a 7-0 vote, the board reappointed Clarence Myers as vice president. Directors Josann Harry and Charles Gildner were absent.Also as part of its reorganization, the board:• Reappointed Darlene Yeakel as Pennsylvania School Board Association Liaison for a one-year term.• Reappointed Joshua Smale to the Carbon Career & Technical Institute alternate representative to the Joint Operation Committee for a one-year term.• Approved the 2015 calendars of regular monthly meetings and committee workshop meetingsAs per the 2015 calendar, the regular board meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month, with the following exceptions: Dec. 1, (reorganization meeting), and Dec. 8.The committee workshop will continue to be held at 5:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month, with the exception of July and December, when no workshops will be held.
