The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board cited a Carbon County business for violating the state liquor code.

Terpstra's Tavern Inc., located at 501 North St. in Jim Thorpe, was cited for fortified, adulterated and/or contaminated liquor. The offense occurred on April 22, the citation states.This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
