St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Summit Hill is following Christ's teachings and feeding the hungry.
The church is currently hosting a St. Joseph's food drive in honor of the parish's saint's feast day, which was March 19.Most Italian-American families celebrate St. Joseph's Day by hosting a table of bounty to show their gratitude to God. To keep with tradition, the church is sharing its bounty and helping the town's families who have fallen on hard times.Non-perishable and canned food items were collected during the March 15 and 16 Masses and will again be collected this upcoming weekend.Following the collections, the items will be gathered and brought to the Summit Hill Food Pantry so they can be distributed to the families of the community that utilize the pantry.
