Subaru helps Make-A-Wish foundation

Subaru of America Inc. and Fairway Subaru presented a check to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater PA and West Virginia. Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater PA and West Virginia was a partner in the 2013 Subaru "Share the Love" event.

From Nov. 21, 2013, to Jan. 2, 2014, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle could select from a list of charities to receive a donation of $250 from Subaru of America. This year, Subaru of America Inc. donated $10 million to participating charities. Over the last six years SOA has donated $35 million to a number of worthy causes through the "Share the Love" event.SOA selected the five national charities: ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels Association of America, National Park Foundation and Teach for America. Subaru retailers could also elect to add a sixth, local charity and Fairway Subaru selected Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater PA and West Virginia as its local partner.The check for $5,008 was presented to Maggie O'Brien, regional manager of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater PA and West Virginia by Richie Molinaro, director of marketing and advertising for Fairway Subaru.Molinaro said, "We are honored to be partnered with such a wonderful organization as Make-A-Wish Greater PA and West Virginia and greatful and thankful that we can contribute to such a worthy cause."
